Dr. Perricone Program verses Weight Watchers Program

Perricone program has a lot in common with the Weight Watchers program but there are some significant differences between the two:

Both Weight Watchers and Dr. Perricone:

• Promote a healthy life style
• Encourage you to eat high fiber food, particularly lots of fruits and vegetables
• Encourage you to exercise

How Weight Watchers and Dr. Perricone are different:

• According to Dr. Perricone we need to eat a lot of protein, but protein is "WW expensive": every ounce is 1 point.
• High sugar products can be very WW-friendly, but according to Dr. Perricone they are extremely bad for you.
• Although both programs discourage high fat intake, Dr. Perricone recommends that we stay away from 'bad' (saturated) fats and eat more 'good' fats that are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids.

A good example of discretion between the two programs is Dr. Perricone's 3 Day Nutritional Face Lift. The daily food intake is pretty WW-expensive: a pretty very scarce amount of (very healthy) food costs 24-32 points!
